DEWATERING BAGS AND GEOTEXTILE
TUBES
Geotextile
Tubes
Syn-Tex dewatering bags and tubes are
custom-built containers made of geotextile fabrics carefully
chosen to fit the requirements of the job. Sewn together by a
skilled labor force that takes pride on the quality of their
workmanship, our tubes are a very cost effective alternative
when dewatering large quantities of high liquid content waste
such as municipal lagoons and septic systems, animal, or industrial
waste, and marine sediments. See how they work below.

How they work
Step one – Conditioning
Once it has been determined what type of fabric suits the job
better, the sludge should be conditioned prior to be deposited
on the tubes. The conditioning could be as simple as just pumping
the sludge as it sits in the reservoir, or as complex as to add
different types of chemicals to help the solids consolidate and
separate from the water.

Step two – Filling
The sludge is then pumped into the tubes, and the dewatering
begins.

Step three – Dewatering and refilling
Once the different sections of the tube have been filled, the
tube is left alone for a period of time until it has dewatered
enough so that more sludge can be pumped into it. The refilling
can be done as many times as necessary.

Step four – Disposal
Once it has been determined that the dewatering process has
accomplished the desired goal the tubes can be cut open and the
solids can be appropriately disposed of.
